1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the BASIS China STEM Society platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Use of the Platform

You agree to use the platform only for lawful, academic, and educational purposes. You must not:

Post offensive, harmful, or misleading content
Impersonate other users or organizations
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform
Use the platform for commercial purposes without permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in inappropriate behavior within our community.

6. Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided "as is". We are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Code of Conduct

By using the platform you also agree to our community standards. We do not tolerate:

Harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks
Sharing or pressuring others to share private contact information or photos
Political or religious arguments unrelated to STEM
Advertising or commercial content
Bullying, dog-piling, or targeted humiliation

Enforcement ladder: a first offense earns a warning and explanation; a second offense a temporary mute of 3–7 days; repeated or severe offenses a longer mute or account suspension, with the Teacher Liaison and Faculty Advisors informed. AI tools may flag possible violations, but students and teachers always make the final decisions.
